Don’t Be Fooled by Copycat Social Security Educational Seminars

By Boyd Casselman

Not all Social Security Seminars are equally beneficial.

Over three years ago, Utah’s Senior Review broke new ground by introducing and sponsoring Utah’s first comprehensive seminar focused on helping attendees learn how Social Security works and how to better maximize Social Security benefits for individuals and couples.  Those selected to present these seminars worked very hard to become real experts on Social Security.  Consequently, the Social Security seminars presented and sponsored by the Senior Review for the past three years have been a most valuable educational experience for literally thousands of Utah Seniors.  Then last year, copycat Social Security seminars started popping up everywhere . . . but I need to point out the problem with the newly offered seminars.

You see, generally speaking, the new copycat seminars were heavy on sales pitches and light on Social Security education.  And, generally speaking, the presenters had only a surface knowledge of how Social Security works, all the while presenting themselves as Social Security experts.  Many times the presentations have been chuck full of inaccuracies, and when attendees asked social security-related questions that had not been covered by the seminar slideshow, the answers given were rarely correct.  How do I know this? Because not only have I had many of our seminar attendees tell us how poor the other seminars are, but I have personally attended seminars by other presenters and have experienced these less than educational and inaccurate Social Security events.

Are you seeking an informative Social Security education experience offered by a true expert in the field? Do you want  knowledgeable answers to your questions and sound advice for how you can maximize your Social Security benefits? Then I suggest you attend the original, longest running and best Social Security seminar in Utah – the one offered and sponsored by Utah’s Senior Review and advertised in this publication.

I invite you to attend. Call today to reserve your seat at an upcoming seminar.  You’ll be glad you did.
